Kern River Parkway
over 6,000 acres of trails, parks and waterways extending over 30 miles.  The Kern River Parkway uses includes bicycling, rollerblading, jogging, hiking and horseback riding: canoeing, kayaking and nature study, including photography and sightseeing: field sports, fishing, picnics, swimming: and attending outdoor cultural events, such as concerts and theatre.
